The Woman Who Helped Me Listen

Some encounters arrive with fanfare.

Others begin with a whisper.

I met Katrin in November 2024, although "met" isn't quite the right word. We connected by video call after I somehow stumbled upon her work. To this day, I couldn't tell you exactly how I found her. Perhaps I was searching. Perhaps I was being led.

What I do know is this: from our very first conversation, she understood something I hadn't yet found the words to express.

There was a pull inside me.

Not an idea.
Not a plan.
A pull.

I often described it as a chain attached to the center of my chest, stretching thousands of kilometers away. Every time I thought about Oaxaca, I could feel that chain tighten, gently but persistently, inviting me forward. It wasn't dramatic. It wasn't frightening. It was simply... there.

The more I ignored it, the stronger it became.

During one of our early conversations, Katrin listened without judgment. She never told me what to believe or what decisions to make. Instead, she created a space where I could hear myself more clearly.

She shared with me a story that has stayed with me ever since.

More than 500 years ago, she explained, a shaman foretold that the healing sisters would reunite in 2025—a year of profound change.

Whether you receive those words as prophecy, symbolism, or simply a beautiful story is entirely your own journey.

For me, they landed somewhere deep within.

As the months passed, that invisible chain continued to pull. Every step I took toward Oaxaca felt strangely familiar, as though I wasn't discovering something new but remembering something I had forgotten.

When I finally stood in the mountains of Oaxaca, I realized the journey had never really begun with a plane ticket.

It had begun months earlier, during a quiet conversation with a woman who listened beyond my words.

Katrin possesses a rare combination of intuition and grounded presence. She is perceptive without imposing, gentle without being passive, and deeply respectful of each person's path. From our very first video call, I felt completely at ease. There was no pressure, no performance, no attempt to convince me of anything.

Only curiosity.

Only presence.

Only an invitation to trust what I already knew.

Looking back, I don't believe Katrin gave me answers.

She helped me ask better questions.

And perhaps that is the greatest gift anyone can offer another human being.

If you've ever felt that quiet tug toward something you can't explain...
If a place, a dream, or a different version of yourself keeps calling...
If logic alone can't silence the whisper...

Maybe your path is asking to be heard.

Whether Katrin becomes part of that journey is, of course, your decision. She became part of mine, and I will always be grateful for the gentle guidance she offered as I found the courage to follow that invisible chain.

Sometimes the greatest journeys don't begin when we leave home.

They begin the moment we finally listen.

In fact, Katrin recently featured my journey in one of her newsletters. Reading it through her eyes reminded me just how much had shifted since that first conversation in November 2024. It isn't often that someone can reflect your transformation back to you with such clarity and compassion.

If something in this story resonates with you—whether it's curiosity, a quiet knowing, or simply the feeling that your own path is asking to be explored—you may enjoy reading her perspective on my journey.

You can find her newsletter by clicking here. I encourage you to read it—not only to learn more about her work, but also to glimpse the journey I was on and the remarkable transformation that unfolded over the months that followed. Sometimes, looking back through someone else's eyes allows us to appreciate just how far we've come.

If, after reading it, you feel called to learn more about her work, I encourage you to explore it with an open mind and an open heart.

We each find our guides in different ways. Katrin happened to be one of mine.
